Because we value the safety of all members of the Vassar College community and as required by the Clery Act, Vassar College publishes the Annual Fire Safety and Security Report (AFSSR). The AFSSR includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings owned or controlled by Vassar College; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from Vassar College. Our Annual Fire Safety and Security Report also outlines various campus safety, fire safety, and security policies, such as those concerning crime reporting, prevention and response to sexual and gender violence, alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, emergency response and evacuation procedures, and other matters. The AFSSR also includes important tips to help every member of the community remain safe and avoid becoming a victim of crime. The AFSSR is available on the college’s website at http://security.vassar.edu/statistics/. You can also obtain a copy of this report by contacting the director of Safety & Security at (845) 437-5301.
